Visa Requirements: Most nationalities need an e-visa to enter Azerbaijan. Apply online via evisa.gov.az at
least 5 working days in advance.
Currency: The local currency is the Azerbaijani Manat (AZN). Credit cards are widely accepted in Baku but
carry cash for rural areas like Gabala.
Language: Azerbaijani is the official language. Russian is also commonly spoken. English is understood in
tourist areas.
